Meet The Team
Tom joined the team at LBD full-time in 2005 after teaching at Bishop Garrigan High School in Algona, Iowa for almost 30 years. Tom/Linda decided to move closer to their family and help Weston establish the business early, as it quickly grew.
Tom enjoyed his time at Bishop Garrigan as a Biology/Ecology and PE teacher, but most enjoyed working with the kids coaching basketball, football, track and golf. Tom took the “Dream Team” to the state tournament in 1993 and lost a very close game to get to state finals. They ended up finishing 4th that year. Tom (a/k/a "Fro") was instrumental in helping LBD establish the mowing and maintenance division for LBD. Fro called on his many years of lawn care experience to help us establish production rates and bidding procedures for mowing and maintenance. Tom also works during the winter to help with snow removal, running trucks, sidewalk machines or his favorite tool, a snow blower. Since returning to teaching and coaching golf at Woodward-Granger High School, Tom now works mainly during the summer on a mowing or landscape crew. When not working for LBD,Tom can be found on a ladder painting a house or staining a deck. Fro really enjoys spending time with the grand kids practicing baseball, basketball or taking them all swimming. Tom is an active member at Saint Malachy's Catholic Church in Madrid and is also a member of their Knights of Columbus.
